Introducing… Spectrum Collections!

You’ve probably heard of Spectrum Collections before – you’re more than likely following them on Instagram. They don’t need much of an introduction, really – just look at them. They’re by far the prettiest and most insta-worthy makeup brushes you’ve ever seen.

I was lucky enough to receive the 10 Piece Essential Set* which includes brushes for your face, eyes and lips. You literally would never need to own another makeup brush if you own this set – it includes everything you need for a full face of makeup!

Face

B01Flat Top Buffer – This is similar to my favourite ever makeup brush – the Blank Canvas F20 Flat Brush from my July 2016 Glossybox. I would have to put the two on the same level as one another – I just can’t pick a favourite between them – they both buff cream and liquids in beautifully.

A01Large Domed Powder – Perfect for loose powder and sweeping highlighter onto your cheekbones. I much prefer this to the Makeup Revolution brush I’ve been using.

A05Small Angled Blush – A contour or blush brush which is the perfect size for under and above my cheekbone – I love a brush with some versatility!

B03Buffing Concealer – A smaller version of the B01, perfect for blending concealer over those pesky blemishes. This was a completely new brush to me – Ive never had a small buffing brush before. I normally apply and blend concealer with a doe foot applicator or a flat concealer brush from my Lili Burton Makeup Brush Set. I have to say, though – I’m a changed woman!

Eyes

A06Large Fluffy Shader – A large, fluffy brush, perfect for covering the whole lid in shadow or shading around the crease. Can also be used for blending more stubborn, pigmented shadows as the bristles are more compact and sturdy than the B06.

B06Tall Tapered Blender – The perfect blending brush. There’s really not much more I can say.

B04Small Angled Blender – Good for applying and blending in the crease – more accurate than A06.

A17Angled Brow – A small, accurate brush for powder or gel eyebrow products. Can be used for eyeliner if you’ve got a super steady hand. This brush has replaced the Brow Zings brush I’d been using to apply my ABH Dip Brow Pomade. It works so well with the formula and helps create both a fuller or more natural brow.

A09 – Angled Eyeliner – The queen of eyeliner brushes! The hard bristles are perfect for getting that wing accurate, and the bent handle helps follow the curve of your lash line with ease.

Lips

A15Lip Liner – A small, precise brush that makes applying liquid from a tube or pot easy and smudge free.

As I love every single one of these brushes, I thought I’d challenge myself to list my three favourite brushes in the set – in case you might want to buy them individually. It was a pretty difficult decision, but I’d probably have to say that my most used and favourite brushes are  A01, A06 and A09!

Spectrum don’t just do pink brushes, they have a massive range of beautiful brushes – I particularly love The Glam Clam and The Marbleous 12 Piece Set! They even have a cute Brush Clam to get those brushes squeaky clean – I think that is their next product I’ll have to try out! Oh, and to top it all off, they’re entirely vegan and cruelty free, too.

What do you think of Spectrum Collections? Do you own any of their makeup brushes? Let me know in the comments below!
