Pink Parcel – August 2016

Another month, another subscription box! Last month I introduced you to a new found fave of mine – Pink Parcel. Pink Parcel is the subscription box that makes your time of month that little bit more bearable! I loved it so much, in fact, that I’ve continued my subscription and can definitely see myself continuing for the foreseeable future. The value for money is insane, and I LOVE that I’m never going to get caught out like ‘sh**, I need tampons’ ever again!

As per my previous post, the box included all my sanitary essentials – pads, tampons, pantyliners and night pads. As soon as I opened the box, I went straight for the little box of goodies, though… I couldn’t wait to see what was in this month’s box!

This month’s tea sample was Tea Pigs Matcha Tea. For those of you who read my Kineta Matcha Green Tea post, you will know that I am now a HUGE fan of matcha. It’s so tasty and nutritional! Having only ever tried the Kineta brand of matcha, though, I was intrigued to try out a new brand, to see if there would be any flavour differences. If I’m honest, I couldn’t really taste any differences at all! I did notice, however, that there was a lot less powder in the sachet than I normally use to make a matcha tea – it was a lot smoother, though, so obviously the sachet contains the optimum amount! I will have to be sure to reduce the amount of matcha I’m using in future.

As well as a tea sample, Pink Parcel also includes an edible treat. This month we were lucky enough to get two little edible goodies! Some Jealous sweets and Emily Fruit Crisps! Having these edible treats is definitely a nice touch, as we all know that on that time of the month you get HANGRY. (Albeit, I’m not gonna lie – I didn’t like the apple crisps. Too sweet for my liking, soz!)

My favourite product in the box was probably the Sunkissed Shimmer Dust Brush. OMG. I don’t even know where to start. First of all – the packaging is so cool! You can either have the bristles packed together, which makes it more of a ‘pouffe’ applicator, or you can retract the plastic to make the bristles into more of a conventional blush brush. You then press the button on the top to release the shimmer into the bristles, and sweep onto your face/body. It is SO shimmery – like, if you’re using it on your face you better be careful not to over do it!

A product which really took me by surprise was the Estella Bartlett Bracelet – can you believe that as well as tampons, pads, beauty products, tea and snacks you ALSO get an item of jewellery?! I can’t get over how insanely good this box is! The bracelet in particular is lovely – it’s simple, but also interesting. Being black and white, it is the perfect bracelet for anyone and any outfit, no matter what your taste or colour scheme. I had a look on the Estella Bartlett website and I definitely think I’ve found a new favourite jewellery shop – there are some really gorgeous, dainty pieces!

Normally I moan about receiving lip products, but I’m definitely not going to moan about the Cougar Liquid Lipstick. I’m not sure exactly what shade this is, but it’s quite a deep purple. The stay power is insane – it easily lasts all day and doesn’t budge with food or water. The only problem with this is that it is also a little tricky to get off, too! All in all, I highly recommend this lipstick!

I’m not going to lie, I was a little bit heartbroken when I saw the last two products in the box – a SASS Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate sample and a So Susan Highlighter in shade Haute Light . Don’t get me wrong, I love both of these products, but guess what?! I already own them both! So, rather than these go to waste, these have both been popped in a box along with some other goodies ready for my next giveaway… keep your eyes peeled if you want a chance to win these! P.S – you can read my Sass review here.

I cannot stress how amazing this all is… for just £10.50 you are getting all of these products worth WELL over the price you paid – as well as all the sanitary items! I just can’t recommend this box enough!
