Introducing… Technic Cosmetics!

As I’m sure you’re all well aware by now – I love makeup. You can literally never have too much…. you just always need that other shade of lipstick or a new eyeshadow palette. When a lovely package bursting at the seams full of some Technic Cosmetics goodies landed on my doorstep, you can just imagine how much my face lit up! I’d never heard of the brand before trying the products, meaning I had no preconceptions or opinions on the products, quality or value.

I was lucky enough to have received a vast selection of products – from a colour corrector palette, lipsticks and an eyebrow palette – practically enough to do a full face of makeup!

The first thing I reached for was definitely the ColourFix Colour Corrector Palette* – I’ve never actually tried colour correcting before and have read so many tutorials saying colour correcting is the holy grail for ensuring a smooth, even skin tone. This palette was especially handy, as it had a variety of colours to target different skin concerns – the standard green to counteract redness, peach and yellow for blue and purple tones, as well as shades for highlighting and to balance out and yellow! I tested the palette on a bruise and I was so impressed with the results – whilst it didn’t completely hide it, it definitely helped reduce the harshness of the bruise. This is now an absolute staple in my makeup bag – especially when I have dark purple circles under my eyes or sore red spots – it’s a life saver!

The next product I reached for was of course the Technic Brow Tamer*. It came with a wax, powder, spoolie and double ended brush. Whilst unfortunately the colour is a bit more reddy brown than I would normally opt for, it applied smoothly and can be built up into a stronger brow. The powder is great to set the eyebrow in place, and the spoolie can tame any awkward hairs and ensure you have the shape you’re after. The best thing about this palette is that it has everything you need all in one small container – making it perfect to chuck in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day. At just £3.00, this is definitely a steal!

I also received two lip products – a Juicy Stick* and a Vitamin E Lipstick*.

The Vitamin E Lipstick applied smoothly and is a gorgeous shade of baby pink. It gives a nice healthy flush of colour to the lips without being too OTT. It also has added vitamin E, so you know your lips are getting packed full of goodness.

The Juicy Stick, however, I unfortunately wasn’t massively impressed with. I think it is the shade ‘oxblood’, but I can’t seem to find any shade information on the packaging. At first, it looked like the perfect autumnal colour, but unfortunately it isn’t the best on application – it goes patchy! Even when paired with my Haiwaiian Tropic Island Berry Lip Gloss, it still looked patchy on the lips. It’s a shame, as the colour and matte effect is really nice! This was the only product of the selection I received that I wasn’t impressed with.

The Get Gorgeous Highlighter* looked very similar to the Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighters – both in appearance and finish. The shade is a silvery pink and is well pigmented, meaning you only need a small amount to get the desired effect. As it is more of a pinky highlighter, I find this works well for everyday looks, as it isn’t as ‘in your face’ compared to a gold or white highlighter.

The Bronzing Baked Eyeshadows* are just…. wow. I love them! They are amazing! I think these are what I have used the most out of this selection of products. Look how pigmented they are on the swatches. There is a huge amount of each colour eyeshadow in the pan, and you only need a tiny amount on your brush to pick up the colour. I also love that you have all the colours you need in one palette to create the perfect smokey eye – you just need to choose whether you want purpley undertones or more brown undertones.

Overall, I was so impressed with this selection of products from Technic Cosmetics – the whole range is really affordable, but surprisingly good quality. I would put the products on a similar level to my long term fave of affordable makeup – Makeup Revolution.
