Jodetopia occasionally features advertisements, in which I receive compensation for blog posts or features, whether that be in the form of PR samples to review on my blog, money off incentives, payment or money made via affiliate links. I always work following ASA and CMA guidelines, the legal standard for the influencer and blogging industry. All opinions shared on Jodetopia are always entirely honest, and I will never agree to work with a brand that does not fit my lifestyle and values.
So that you, my readers, can easily understand when content is an advertisement, the below disclosures are used across Jodetopia. These can be seen at the beginning of the post where applicable.
If I have received monetary payment for a post, aka a ‘sponsored post’, at the beginning of the post, I will write the following sentence: ‘AD – This post is a paid partnership with [brand name]’.
If I have received a PR Sample, at the beginning of the post, I will write the following sentence: ‘AD – This post includes PR Samples from [brand name]’.
If I have reviewed a PR Visit such as being invited to an event or receiving free tickets to an event or attraction, at the beginning of the post, I will write the following sentence: ‘AD – This post reviews a PR visit to [brand name].’
If I have received monetary payment to host a pre-written article, at the beginning of the post, I will write the following sentence: ‘AD – This is a contributed post’. Despite the words having not been written by me, I will never host articles that do not match my values.
If a post includes affiliate links in which I may make a small monetary commission if you purchase something via my affiliate link, at the beginning of the post, I will write the following sentence: ‘AD – This post includes affiliate links’. Affiliate links do not cost you anything by clicking on them, but I may make a few pence if you do.
If two or more of the above are applicable for a single blog post, the disclosing sentences at the beginning of the post will be merged into one simple, coherent sentence.
