StyleLux Blackhead Killer Peel Off Face Mask

Those that know me well will know that I am obsessed with blackhead masks. I love pulling them off and seeing the residue (come on, who doesn’t get satisfaction from getting them out of your skin?!). I’d read great reviews about the StyleLux’s Blackhead Killer Peel Off Mask, so couldn’t wait to give them a go.

The texture of the face mask is extremely thick, sticky and gloopy and can therefore be pretty messy, so I definitely advise to apply the blackhead killer peel off mask over a sink and it’s probably not the best idea to be wearing your Sunday best. I applied the blackhead killer mask just over the areas I struggle with blackheads – my chin, nose, cheeks and forehead. I decided not to apply the mask to my whole face as I didn’t feel the need to apply it to areas where I don’t have blackheads. With most blackhead masks I’ve tried, you tend to need quite a thick layer of product in order for it to dry and be easier to peel off, however I quickly learnt that was not the case with this mask. It took about 30 minutes for the mask to dry fully, as in some areas of my face it was really thick, so I would definitely recommend not piling the mask thick like I did in the photo below.

As the mask was drying, I could feel it slowly getting tighter on my chin and I regularly tapped the product to test if it was dry enough to be peeled off in one go. I would make sure you’ve tested it is completely dry before attempting to peel it off, as the time it takes could vary depending on how thick you’ve layered the mask – the instructions only say to leave the mask 10 minutes but as mentioned above, mine took 30 minutes to completely dry out. I did also notice that as it dried it almost sunk into my skin, so you could actually see every pore and any blemishes (which was super gross but also so interesting!).

Peeling the mask off was so satisfying – it comes off really easily and also doesn’t hurt too much – just be careful not to get it too close to the sensitive skin around your eyes. When the mask had peeled off, you can actually see little blackheads stuck to the mask that have been pulled out of your skin – result! I also noticed that the spots on my chin looked much calmer, and weren’t as red and sore as they were beforehand.

Overall, I really like the Stylelux Blackhead Killer peel off mask! It works much better than my No7 Pore Vacuum mask, and it was so satisfying being able to peel it all off in one go and see the results. For £14.95 you get 5 sachets, which is pretty good value seeing as this is the best peel off blackhead mask I’ve ever used. If this is out of your budget though, there are plenty of cheaper blackhead masks available.
