Well hello December! I’ve been a Glossybox customer for a silly amount of time (I think around 8 years?!) but I haven’t uploaded a Glossybox post over here on Jodetopia since 2016. Well I’m going to try and change that and get back to monthly mini reviews, so here’s what I received this month inside my December 2021 Glossybox!

What is the theme for the December 2021 Glossybox?

The theme for Glossybox December 2021 is ‘Moonlight Glow’ – it’s all about celebrating the magic of the festive season and trying to recreate a ‘lit from within’ glow!

This month is also extra special as instead of the usual pink box, the December 2021 Glossybox is packaged in a tin, instead! In my opinion these are so much more useful and versatile than the normal box, so I really hope this isn’t a one off!

Glossybox December 2021 unboxing Glossybox Unboxing - Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser

Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser

Glossybox has been featuring a lot of Elemis products recently and I am definitely here for it. It’s such a luxurious brand and their skincare is exemplary. The Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser both primes and hydrates to leave your skin smooth and radiant. It can be used as both a daily moisturiser or a makeup primer. I’ve not tried the Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser before, but I’m excited to give it a go as soon as I’ve finished my Clinique anti-redness solutions moisturiser!

Lasplash Moonlight Glow Face Palette Lasplash Moonlight Glow Face Palette

Lasplash Moonlight Glow Face Palette

The Lasplash Moonlight Glow Face Palette has four shades of blush, bronzer and highlighter. Albeit advertised as the perfect balance of undertones for all skin tones, I know straight away that these shades are unfortunately going to be much too dark for my complexion. It looks like a beautiful palette – but for someone not quite as pale as I am!

Pssst! Keep an eye out on my Instagram and blog, as I’ll be doing a beauty giveaway shortly and this will be one of the products you could win!

Spectrum Collections B08 Magic Wand

Spectrum Collections B08 Magic Wand

The Spectrum Collections B08 Magic Wand brush is beautiful and versatile. The bristles are so soft! Albeit advertised as the perfect brush to apply and blend highlight, I’ve been using this brush to blend my eyeshadow for a soft smokey eye. It’s for sure my new favourite brush – I’m so glad to have discovered the Spectrum Collections B08 Magic Wand in my Glossybox!

Brave.New.Hair Keratin Hair Mask

Brave.New.Hair Keratin Hair Mask

The Brave.New.Hair keratin hair mask provides deep, long-lasting conditioning, promising to make your hair smooth, shiny and strong. My hair is fairly healthy, but I do struggle with unruliness if I don’t use my Dyson Airwrap, so I’m looking forward to seeing if the Brave.New.Hair keratin hair mask helps tame my hair and keeps it looking sleeker for longer.

BeautyPro Retinol Under Eye Patch

BeautyPro Retinol Under Eye Patch

The BeautyPro Retinol Under Eye Patch promises to both brighten your under eye area and also help diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Being a busy mum of two, my under eyes definitely suffer with dark circles, and I thoroughly enjoy getting the chance to relax with under eye patches – it always feels like such a pamper when I get the time! I cannot wait to use the BeautyPro Retinol Under Eye Patches!

Is Glossybox worth it?

I won’t lie – I have good months and bad months with Glossybox. I did have a few back to back bad months in the past and paused my subscription, but I soon ran out of essential products so started my subscription again!

Financially, this month’s box is definitely worth it. The box costs me £13.25 per month (that includes postage!) and the products inside this month’s box was worth over £55!

Sometimes the box is financially ‘worth it’, but aren’t products I’ll use. In this case I gift or give away the products, but it’s definitely annoying when I get a whole box of products I won’t actually use.

Don’t forget – you can complete short surveys in your Glossybox account once you’ve received your products to get credits on either the Glossybox or lookfantastic websites! Each survey is worth 25p-50p and takes a minute or two to complete. Don’t forget to do them, though, as they do expire!
