Glossybox March 2016: Get Glowing

The March Glossybox was focused around getting the glow back in your skin after a cold winter – something I definitely could do with! All of the products looked so super pretty this month, too.

Glossybox March 2016 Get Glowing Jodetopia Luxie Olay Collection -417 Hey Honey

Let’s start with the beautiful Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush 504. This rose gold brush is just oh so gorgeous, and ticks aaaaaalll the rose gold trend boxes. It’s really soft and smooth, and is the perfect size and angle for contouring your cheekbones and also around your forehead and jawline. This brush has replaced my Makeup Revolution brush in my daily makeup routine and for only £10.42 it’s not bad value for money at all!

I love how this box included a matching Shampoo and Conditioner by -417. I’d never heard of this brand before, but I loved how these are a vitamin mineral shampoo and conditioner, so are packed full of essential oils and moisture balancing minerals from the Dead Sea. Also, how pretty would these look on a bathroom shelf?! I found that the shampoo lathers up really well so you only need a small amount to fully clean your hair. I did find the conditioner a bit too runny for me as I prefer a thicker conditioner, but it seemed to condition my hair well – although, you would need to follow up with a treatment to combat frizz as I did find it didn’t help my frizz at all.

Hey Honey is another brand I have never heard of before, but I instantly fell in love with this Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum. It includes both honey and propolis, antiseptic and antibacterial ingredients made by bees. This really does leave my skin with a glowing, dewy finish however is not tacky like some serums can be. You can use this either by itself, as a primer under makeup or under your day and night cream – I’ve been using it mainly under my moisturisers. This has replaced my previous favourite serum and I am so glad I have been introduced to this product!

Olay is a more well-known brand, however I hadn’t tried their Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream before, so was excited to give this a go. It is slightly peach in colour, which helps even out your skin tone and fade any blemishes and discolouration. Whilst the cream keeps my skin hydrated, I wouldn’t say it is a miracle worker at evening out my skin tone. Sure, it helps a bit, but personally the results couldn’t justify me spending £20.99 on the full size.

I have one again saved the best for last… the Collection Speedy Highlighter. Where do I start!? First of all, the packaging is beautiful and the product itself is just the right size to highlight your cheekbones, nose and forehead. It glides over your skin really smoothly – you don’t have to press too hard and it doesn’t take off your foundation like I’ve found other highlighter sticks can. It’s a fairly strong highlighter so you only need to sweep it cross your cheekbones once to get a dewy, contoured look. For only £2.99 I would recommend everyone go and purchase this as it honestly makes your morning makeup routine so much quicker!

Overall, I think this month’s Glossybox was one of my favourites for a while. I am absolutely chuffed with all of the products.
