Have you been following the rose gold trend?

So, I recently decided to take the plunge and start doing some more fashion/outfit of the day posts. As I mentioned in my first ever OOTD post, this was something I was very apprehensive about.

However, after the success of my first OOTD post I knew I just had to continue with fashion posts – it was great fun shooting and I loved being able to share what normal people wear. I don’t want to see posts with super expensive clothes that I’m never going to be able to buy. Or looks that are super fashionable but you just wouldn’t be seen dead in unless it was on a runway. I want to portray real clothes. Real fashion. Real, possible, simple ways to recycle your clothes and look good without breaking the bank.

One recent fashion trend which I haven’t really indulged in is the rose gold trend. It seems like everywhere you look there is rose gold jewellery or rose gold home decor. Rose gold everythang!

I’d never really fallen for this trend in the sense that although I think rose gold jewellery is absolutely stunning, I just never owned any rose gold items myself. I decided that I need to change that.

So, without further ado, here is a simple way to style the Rose Gold trend….

Sorry guys, I had to put this one in here, because this is much more ‘me’ than the posey photos! I absolutely love my kimono and I find any excuse to wear it. The black, pinks and greens in the kimono means I can wear it with so many different colours. I’ve worn it here with a pink chiffon top and black jeggings. Rose gold goes so well with soft, pastel pinks and I think this top really brings out the best in the rose gold jewellery.

This necklace* is from Gemporia, and is just oh so beautiful. It is so simple and elegant and really catches the light and sparkles. It has instantly become my new favourite necklace! I get so many compliments when I wear it, everyone always asks me where it’s from!
