When Lisa from Oxynergy Paris told me about their new, personalised skincare products, I immediately wanted to try them out. Tailor made products suited exactly to my skin’s needs – YES PLEASE! I was kindly sent the Cushion Foam, Toning Mist, Serum and Mask* to try out, and couldn’t wait to put them to the test!
First of all, lets talk about what makes it personalised – Oxynergy Paris has an app, in which you can create a profile and answer some quick questions about your skin type and what areas you would like to combat (wrinkles, hydration, blemishes etc). Your answers give you a unique blend of ingredients to target the problem areas you have identified, which the team then make up into a serum/mask etc and send to you! How exciting!
So, let’s go through this in chronological order of my fab new skin care routine…
Ok so ‘cushion foam’ was a completely new concept to me. I had never heard of cushion foam before (can someone PLEASE explain to me what cushion foundation is because I am still totally lost on that one!) and it wasn’t until having a look on the Oxynergy Paris website that I discovered it is basically a cleanser that has little sponges in it! It is such a strange thing to describe, because until I used it for the first time I really wasn’t sure what to expect. It is like a normal cream cleanser, which lathers up, but there are these soft spongey jelly like blobs giving your face a gentle massage. It isn’t at all exfoliating, gritty, or like those beads that burst. It is just like rubbing clouds on your face. I can’t even describe the feeling and wow at how grammatically incorrect this paragraph has gotten, but basically – I love it. You need to try it.
I was excited to try the toning mist as mists are still a fairly new thing for me. I’ve been loving my Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist*, so the idea of using a mist on a freshly cleansed face to tone the skin just sounded perfect for me! I can’t fault this product at all – it does what it says on the tin. There is just something about spritzing yourself after a good pamper session which really appeals to me!
This is where it gets exciting! I was sent the Power Infuse serum and the Power Infuse cream. You can either use the serum on its own or mix it into the cream to create a mask and give it a bit more umph. Purely for the fact I wanted to use the pipette and get my science on, I chose to mix the serum into the mask. At first, I was worried about this – the mask turned really thin in consistency and I just thought there was NO way it was going to hydrate my skin all night (I normally slap on a LOT of night cream). However, I was pleasantly surprised! It does hydrate my skin and I wake up in the morning with beautifully fresh, soft skin!
Overall, I could not recommend this range more. It is so luxurious (and HOW picture perfect is the packaging?!) and I can definitely see the benefits.
