Introducing… The Body Shop Tea Tree Range!

So, I’ve heard such a rave over The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Range that I just HAD to try it out for myself! I wanted to see if it really does clear your skin from spots and blemishes, or if it’s all a load of talk.

I headed into The Body Shop and took advantage of their 3 for 2 offer – I picked up the facial wash, foaming cleanser and toner. I picked up and put back the scrub about 5 times – it was more expensive than the others and I have enough scrubs at home at the moment, so in the end I decided against it. I’m really gutted I didn’t pick it up while I had the chance – the scrub is now sold out online and in my local store!

First of all, I want to explain how I have been using these products. I’ve been starting by using the facial wash in the morning after my shower, following with the toner and whatever daily moisturiser I fancy. Of an evening before bed, I’ve been using the foaming cleanser (once if I have no makeup on and twice if I need to use it to remove my makeup too) and again following this with the toner. I then use a Clarins oil (full review here) to hydrate my skin. I’ve been using an exfoliating scrub as and when my skin feels like it needs it.

I’ve been following the above routine since the beginning of January (well, I have missed the occasional morning/evening cleanse out of laziness) and have seen a massive improvement in my skin.

Whilst I don’t suffer from acne or a high amount of spots, when I do get spots they are normally large, under the skin ones that stick around for weeks at a time. The above routine not only calmed my pre-existing spots, but also has stopped me from breaking out with any really bad ones since. I also don’t feel as though my face is left dry or tight, unlike some other washes can.

Facial Wash

You only need a small amount of the facial wash for it to lather up well on your face. At first it does feel a bit thick, but if you don’t like this all you need to do is apply more water whilst rubbing in the wash. This facial wash freshens me up nicely in the morning before work, and I think it is excellent value for money – I’ve been using the wash for around two weeks now and the bottle is still practically full.

Foaming Cleanser

I’ve heard great things about foaming cleansers so I was excited to try this. Similar to the facial wash above, you only need a small amount of product. One pump of the nozzle is plenty of product for my face. This is much lighter than the facial wash and feels much gentler, albeit it does still remove any base makeup I’m wearing well.

Toner

This toner is great. Again, like above, you only need a tiny amount of product to cover your whole face. It tingles on my face a little, which I like in a product as I feel like it is actually doing something. It dries quickly (important when you’re in a rush – you don’t want to be slapping moisturiser onto a wet face). It also picks up every single little bit of dirt, just in case you missed anything during your wash/cleanse.

Overall, I am just so impressed with these products. I can’t believe that they are so well priced yet seem to be the magical cure to all my skin problems! This definitely is NOT just a fad and I know I will continue using these products daily! I just can’t wait to see what month’s of using these products will do to my skin if only after 2 weeks my skin has improved so much!
