Happy New Year! 2022 brings a lot of hope… the hope of some kind of normality, the hope of health, the hope of happiness, and so much more. Glossybox are kick starting the year with five new products – so let’s see what’s in store for us this month in the Glossybox for January 2022…
The Glossybox January 2022 theme is ‘Mindful Mornings’, and encourages us to take the time for slow and steady mornings. The mindfulness obsessive in me absolutely LOVES this theme, but the mum in me doesn’t… slow and steady mornings?! With a pre-schooler and a baby?! You’re having a laugh! Nevertheless, I like the reminder to be present in the moment and experience joy in the little things in life.

Don’t panic! Glossybox have gone digital! If, like me, you’re used to seeing a physical product leaflet in your Glossybox, it may come as bit of a shock that this is no longer, but I guess it makes sense from an eco-friendly point of view. They send out thousands of boxes each month, and whilst I’m sure to recycle my leaflet every month I bet there are many that unfortunately end up in general waste and thus end in landfill. From that perspective: well played Glossybox!
There is, however, the other half of me that isn’t thrilled with this change: although I know it makes sense and is better for the environment, I must admit I liked having the physical leaflet. It was just quite nice reading something that wasn’t on my phone for a change, you know? I’m also not 100% keen on the fact the new digital leaflet tells you the products you could have got in your box, but didn’t. That’s just asking for disappointment, in my opinion.
There should be a small card inside your box with the QR code to scan to access the Glossybox January 2022 magazine, but unfortunately this wasn’t in my box so I had to message Glossybox on Instagram to get the link. In case you’re wondering where yours is too, you can click here to access the Glossybox January Mindful Mornings magazine.
I received 5 products, as follows…

I couldn’t tell you when I last needed to buy a nail product – I get everything I need in my Glossybox! Being a busy mum, my nails get forgotten about most of the time, but I am trying my best to slap on some cuticle oil and the occasional top coat when I can, in a bid to keep them healthy(ish). This Nails.Inc Gel Rehab Strengthening Nail Treatment is next on my list to try, so I’m looking forward to seeing if the promise of repairing dry, damaged nails in just ten minutes rings true. I’m excited!
The Dr Botanicals Apothecary Cocoa & Coconut Superfood Facial Cleansing Bar can be used on your face, body and hands daily to clean, hydrate and gently exfoliate. Personally, I find the idea of using a bar of soap on my face slightly odd, so I’m opting to use it as a body soap, instead. It has a lovely scent, although I must admit this probably isn’t something I’d repurchase, as I’m just not a lover of bars of soap (even super luxurious ones, like this one!). They do the job, but they’re just not a bit of me.
You can never have too many lip balms… am I right or am I right?! I have about ten different lip balms on the go at any one time in various different places around the house/car/coat pockets etc as I just cannot stand the feeling of dry lips. I’ve used this Glow on 5th Lip Balm a few times now and love how ‘wet’ it is – it feels and wears more like a gloss than a balm – but I must admit I think putting tinted in the name of the product is a little misleading: it’s completely clear and just adds a nice shine. Nevertheless, it’s a good lip balm, although I wouldn’t say it’s entirely worth the £12 price tag.
Mudmasky are yet another brand I was introduced to through Glossybox and thoroughly enjoy every time. Their products are fairly pricey (this mask is worth over £40 on its own!) but always have amazing results. I particularly enjoyed their Leave-Me-On Winter Mask from a previous Glossybox, so I’m excited to try the Mudmasky Vitamin A Booster Blue Clay Mask too. It promises to draw out dirt from pores whilst ensuring a brighter, more even skin tone.
Naobay is a brand I regularly see crop in my Glossyboxes – they’ve been featuring as far back as in my February 2016 Glossybox – and I’m here for it every single time. I have completely fallen in love with this brand through Glossybox – I enjoy every single one of their products. I’m always especially taken back with the scent of their products, they always smell beautiful and luxurious.
I have a lot of opened body lotions and creams at the moment which I am desperately trying to get through (I am so awful at forgetting to moisturise after a bath or shower as I am normally distracted by something for one of the children!), but I am excited to give this Vit C Body Milk a try – it promises to improve elasticity and firmness, as well as illuminating dull, dry skin. Sounds like a dream.
The products inside the Glossybox January 2022 were worth a whopping £83.40 – considering the box costs me £13.25 per month including postage that’s an insane saving! I will genuinely use every single one of the products this month, so I definitely think my Glossybox was worth it this month.
