It is time yet again for another Glossybox review! I’m always so shocked when these land on my doorstep – months go by so quickly! This month was packed full of travel size goodies, ready for the summer holiday season ahead. As I’m travelling to NYC in June, I really should have saved trying out these products until then. Let’s see what I got!
For those of you who follow my blog, you’ll know I’ve been trying to take better care of my nails recently. Not only have I been taking more care when painting them (nail wraps are a great alternative!) but I’ve also been trying to make my natural nail healthier. My Sakare nail kit has massively helped with this, but I was excited to try the Loceryl Nail Gel. This is meant to help strengthen and whiten your natural nail. It is a bit strange rubbing this onto your nail, but it does feel nice to be able to give your nails more of a pamper! If I’m honest, I haven’t seen any results that make this worth the time it takes, but maybe I need to use it for a longer period of time before results start to show.
The Bee Good Plump & Firm Moisturiser is an anti ageing moisturiser. While I haven’t noticed any real results of this, I cannot deny it is a good moisturiser and leaves my skin nicely hydrated. It is thick enough that my dry patches feel well moisturised all day – something that not all moisturisers can do! It contains hyaluronic acid – an ingredient well known to improve hydration and appearance of skin.
A few months ago, we were emailed with choices for the mascara in this box. I can’t remember all of the choices available, but I remember trying to choose the one I thought would make my lashes the thickest and longest. Volume and Length Magnified does just that! I cannot complain at all about this mascara – it is so good and is now my favourite drugstore mascara. Also, how cool is the shape of the bottle?! It feels so nice to hold and I just love that it isn’t the stereotypical cylinder.
The hand cream is lovely – I’ve always been a fan of Crabtree & Evelyn and the Summer Hill hand cream definitely didn’t disappoint! It is just the right consistency – not too thick but not too thin. It has replaced my Soap and Glory Hand Food on my desk at work as my go-to hand cream, and it is also the perfect size for popping in your hand bag.
I was really excited to see a Velvet Lippie in the box – oh how I love a good matte lip! I got the shade Rumba from Absolute New York. I absolutely love it! It is such a buttery, creamy formula that glides on your lips so easily, and then dries to give a nice matte finish. The colour is fairly natural, so doesn’t feel too ‘much’ – you could definitely still wear this to work. It has a pretty decent lasting power, too – unless you’re eating. It smells SO good too!!
We also had the addition of some popcorn – I’m a little confused as to why this was in the box, but it gave me something to snack on for those 3pm munchies at work!!
Overall, I was so impressed yet again by this month’s box! I am so happy with all of the products and it was great timing before I head off to NYC, too!
