If you’re looking for an unstructured session full of plenty of toys for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, then Toe Rags playgroup in Dartford is for you! Keep reading – there’s even a bouncy castle!
Toe Rags is a fun and friendly unstructured playgroup in Dartford for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers up to the age of 5 years. Each session has plenty of toys set out, such as, ride on toys, a play kitchen, books, building blocks, trampoline, soft play, ball pits and even a bouncy castle! There’s also a baby area with padded mats, soft toys, walkers and plenty more for younger babies to enjoy also.
Occasionally there are other organised activities also, such as visits from characters like Peppa Pig, or professional photography sessions.
Toe Rags also act as a soft play and toy hire company, so you can hire their play equipment for birthdays or other occasions.
The Toe Rags play group is held at the Dartford Adult Education Centre, Summerhill Road, Dartford, DA1 2LP. There is free on site parking in a good sized car park.
There is also a cafe on site in the same room as the play group, meaning you can enjoy a cuppa whilst watching the little ones play, or stop for a snack time at any point.
The playgroup runs for an hour and a half which is plenty of time for your child to try out all of the toys and activities on hand!
The charge for Toe Rags playgroup in Dartford is £5 per child, with siblings being £3 thereafter. Payment is made directly to Emma from Toe Rags via PayPal – contact her on Facebook Messenger to book in!

I attended Toe Rags playgroup in Dartford Adult Education Centre on Friday 28th January 2022. It was easy to find, and has plenty of parking in a good sized car park. It’s conveniently located close to Dartford High Street, so if you need to run other errands after class then you’ve not got to go far!
We signed in on arrival, and made ourselves straight at home. There are two parts to the room – the cafe and the play area. The cafe has some tables and chairs, and a small kitchen acting as a cafe where you can purchase drinks or snacks. The play room is of course the main attraction! The toys out when we visited included a play kitchen, a tent with books, large building bricks, a small trampoline, a slide, a ball pit, soft play blocks, a ride on ‘rollercoaster’, lots of ride on toys, and the best part of all: a bouncy castle! There is also a younger baby area with play mats, baby toys, a smaller ball pit and walkers, with plenty of padded floor mats and cushions. Around the room there are plenty of chairs so you can sit and watch your children play whilst chatting away to other mums!
Arthur obviously had an absolute blast with all the toys to play with! Despite being fairly busy with about 20 families, it was remarkably calm. The other mums were all so friendly and willing to chat, and there was a good variety of ages of children, too.
It was very reasonably priced at £5 and in my opinion the fact there’s a bouncy castle is what really puts this playgroup a step above others!
When the session was nearing the end, Emma brought out a parachute, and there was time for a few parachute games and some song time, too! This helped wind the children down and signalled home time.
Toe rags play group in Dartford was truly such a lovely find (I have to give full credit to a mum friend of mine for recommending it to me!). If you’re local to Dartford I highly recommend this play group!
