So what if we still co-sleep at 18 months?

Co-sleeping is, for some reason, so harshly judged by other mums, yet I don't really ever see anyone online talking about the realities of that. When it crops up in conversation that my partner and I co-sleep with our 18 month old son, it is nearly always met with negative oohs and ahhs, or unsolicited advice telling me how to transition him to his own bedroom.

So here's something I whipped up for the co-sleeping of us... because I really bloody hope I'm not the only one feeling like this!

THINGS TO DO AT THE BLUEWATER NATURE TRAIL

Not sure what there is to do at the Bluewater Nature Trail, and whether it's worth the visit? Here's a snapshot of some of our favourite things to do whilst we're there...

🖤 Follow The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ trail and quiz (and climb on the sculpture!)
🖤 Feed the ducks, swans, geese and coots living on the lake (remember: no bread!)
🖤 Play on the trim trail style equipment around the trail
🖤 Have a picnic on the beach and play with the pebbles
🖤 Play in the play areas and climb on the huge spider climbing frame!
🖤 Find bugs in the various bug hotels

Episiotomies.... ouch. If you're wondering 'but

Episiotomies.... ouch.

If you're wondering 'but what exactly IS an episiotomy?', let me clear it up for you using a quote from my article for @mumernity... 'an episiotomy is a diagonal cut made in the area between the vagina and the perineum, making the vagina wider to allow a baby to pass through more easily. The cut will be stitched up as soon as possible after the baby has been born.'

I know society doesn't like to chat about the more gruesome, intimate parts of vaginal birth too much... but that needs to change. People need access to this information freely and easily.
